About Ushuaia
Ushuaia needs 3 days: Tierra del Fuego National Park, with trails along the Beagle Channel and Lapataia Bay -the end of Route 3, the southernmost highway on the continent- on one, a Beagle Channel boat trip to Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse on another, and the End of the World Museum on the third. November-March is the southern summer, with days up to 17 hours of daylight. It's expensive, the southernmost city in the world with permanent tourist infrastructure. It's the departure port for most Antarctic cruises, and its «End of the World» nickname isn't just tourism marketing: it's 3,000 km from Buenos Aires and just 1,000 km from the Antarctic continent.
