June-November brings the dry season, with more passable trails. It's inexpensive by Amazonian standards. Nicknamed the «Land of Waterfalls», it has over a hundred cataloged falls within a short radius of Manaus, making it the most popular day-trip nature excursion for those without time to venture into the deep jungle.
