About Canoa Quebrada
Canoa Quebrada needs 2 days: walking along the falésias, red and ochre sand cliffs dropping to the sea, on one, and taking a buggy down to Duna do Pôr do Sol to watch the sunset, on the other. July-January brings the most consistent winds. It's inexpensive by the standards of the Ceará coast. Discovered by hippies and travelers in the 1970s -similarly to Jericoacoara-, it still keeps its unpaved main sand street, the Broadway, and its mix of colored cliffs and dunes made it famous among photographers of the northeastern coast.
