About Vitória
Vitória needs 2 days: climbing to the Convento da Penha, a 16th-century Franciscan convent atop a rocky promontory overlooking the whole bay, on one, and touring the Terceira Ponte bridge and the Praia de Camburi boardwalk, on the other. September-March brings the warmest, driest weather. It's mid-priced by Brazilian standards. It's one of the few Brazilian capitals built almost entirely on an island, linked to the mainland by several bridges, and it combines urban beaches with a mountainous relief that sets it apart from the country's other coastal capitals.
