Campos do Jordão

Campos do Jordão needs 2 days: the Alpine-style center (Vila Capivari) on one, and the State Park with its mountain viewpoints on the other. June-August is Brazilian winter season, when the town can reach temperatures near 0°C, exceptional for Brazil. It's expensive for the São Paulo interior standard, reflecting its status as the country's leading mountain destination. It was built imitating Swiss/German architecture and is nicknamed the «Brazilian Switzerland», the only place in Brazil where winter tourism with fireplaces and fondue truly makes sense.
