About Aracaju
Aracaju needs 1 day: walking or biking the Orla de Atalaia, one of Brazil's longest urban seafront promenades, with its nightly craft fair, is the main reason to visit. September-January brings the driest weather. It's inexpensive by Brazilian standards. It's the capital of Brazil's smallest state, planned from its 1855 founding on a grid layout uncommon for the era, and its river mouth, where the Sergipe river meets the sea, is one of the few places in the world where you can watch a river and the ocean converge from the same beach.
