About Frutillar
Frutillar needs 1 day: touring the Llanquihue Lake waterfront, with German-style architecture houses and the Teatro del Lago, a concert hall floating over the water, and the German Colonial Museum in the same day. January-February coincides with the Frutillar Musical Weeks, a leading classical music festival in Chile. It's mid-priced. Founded by German settlers in 1856, it preserves one of the best-preserved Central European-style waterfronts in southern Chile, with Osorno Volcano as a backdrop from almost anywhere in town.
