About Lima City
Lima needs 3 days: the colonial historic center on one, Miraflores and Barranco (with its seafront boardwalk on the Pacific) on another, and a food tour on the third. December-April is southern hemisphere summer, with the sunniest weather of the year in a city that's usually overcast the rest of the time. It's one of South America's cheapest capitals for foreign tourists. It's Latin America's culinary capital, with more restaurants in the region's top 50 than any other city on the continent, and the birthplace of ceviche, Peru's signature dish.
